Welcome to Greater York Center for Dance Education...Greater York Dance for short. Our mission is to excite the heart, mind, soul and spirit through dance. By meeting the challenges of dance study, it is our hope that each student finds themselves better prepared for life's endeavors. It is the intent of Greater York Dance to provide an enriching dance experience to the broadest number of people through performances and classes in a happy, gentle and safe environment that inspires excellence.
Students are encouraged through classes, workshops, performances and individual attention to follow their aspirations. All students use the professional atmosphere in which to grow and receive the opportunity to perform as an extension of class studies and to contribute culturally to the community.

At Greater York Dance, our goal is simple ~ to inspire, encourage, and foster a love of dance. Under the direction of Lori Garling Pergament, we strive to provide dancers of all ages a positive, caring, and motivating atmosphere in which students build self-esteem through positive feedback and challenge. We wish to enrich the lives of everyone who chooses to dance. Greater York is a genuine leader in the dance world. Here in York, PA, Greater York Dance offers nearly 90 dance classes per week that follow national standards of dance education. Students and teachers have the opportunity to achieve more here than almost anywhere else. Our 9000 s.f. facility with classroom viewing windows, large and comfortable waiting area with plasma TV, convenient parking, an organized business office and huge selection of class times makes CONVENIENCE a priority for YOU.
We are about family and as a nonprofit corporation dedicated to serving YOU, we put all of our funds back into our programs. Greater York Dance provides affordable, quality instruction in a supportive and fun environment with performances that are suitable for audiences of all ages.
